Al Hughes Memorial Campout

When: July 16-19, 2026
Where: The Orchard

Come early and stay late.

There is space for RVs by the house and in the orchard.

Showers: There are free showers at the house. There are also showers at the pool across the street. The pool will be open from noon to 6 PM. Cost is unknown at this time.

Bathrooms are are located in the house. We will get an outhouse if we have a large crowd.

Dogs.  Your dog is welcome to stay in the orchard.

Conveniences: All conveniences in Helper.

Where to eat: Balance Rock Eatery, Helper Beer (great pizzas), Angel’s food truck. Happiness within has great coffee and snacks.

More fun stuff to do: There are great roads to ride and trails to hike. Ghost towns are up Spring Canyon.  Some of the art galleries will be open. The Lincoln Hotel has old Harleys for your to view. The Helper Museum has over 40 rooms displaying everything from mining equipment to railroad items to a bordello room to Americana history, to mine disasters.

Activities: Hot dog dinner on Friday, helper hotdog will be provided. Saturday night will be a potluck or biker stew and a toast to Al.
