Directions: Off US11 south of Nicholson PA, north of Factoryville PA. Turn west at Tunnel Hill Rd., sign for Lackawanna Trail High School. We are the third house on the right after the HS.

Conveniences: House stuff available. Lots of sun and shade. Limited capacity for heavy haulers if it rained. Fire ring with wood. One picnic table.

Attractions: UNION PACIFIC 4014 IS COMING TO STEAMTOWN NATL PK. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for eastern railfans to see BIG BOY under steam east of OH. Subject to change, 4014 will cross the Martin’s Creek and Tunkhannock Creek viaducts of the DL&W en route to Steamtown NP on 6/13/26. Do a little research on this penultimate expression of the steam era, UP schedule changes, and the Lackawanna RR’s 1915 cut-off grade. We will use 4014’s roll down the main line of the “Phoebe Snow” to make a ride on the former grade, now US 11.

Remarks: Trailers usually take the maple grove and lower field. Tents and hammocks generally use the orchard, upper field, and fir forest. Water spigot at the garage. Exterior outlets on N & S faces of the barn and house. Beware construction at back door. Due to schedule conflict, host will arrive about dark on Friday. Make yourself at home.
