Sun, rain, brief sun, and again showers. It was just that with an evening light show of cloud-to-cloud lightning. Despite the questionable weather, our members and their guests rallied and came anyway, 22 of them. We all had a large ramada to hide under when not raining. For a time, it was a case of musical vehicles as we ran out of parking room. We enjoyed the enthusiasm of the members and guests as they arrived to camp in various ways.
On Friday, of 8 riders that ventured out during the brief sun, four came back early soggy, cold, and wet. Those brave riders were: Vic & Maria Moss, Bob Bencsko of Las Vegas, additional riders were Don Western, Andy Peterman(guest), Dave Christiansen, Steve & Sao Kastel, and Marty & Makie Sikorsky(guest) all of Pahrump.
Other guests were Susie & Marshall Hanson, and Bill Bentley, all from Las Vegas. We also had a brief visit from local IBMC members Tom and Gail Griswold. They brought motorcycle gear to donate to our members.
Friday night we all sat down to a BYOM (Bring Your Own Meat) to eat dinner. The remainder of the side dishes, salads and desserts were provided by hosts. Additionally, Denise and Jim Green donated a chocolate cake from her birthday party, plus her usual palette pleasing brownies. Happy Birthday again Denise.
Walker Fire Station was our destination for Saturday breakfast. Since it was raining, we all carpooled leaving our bikes in camp. Yummy, pecan pancakes, bacon, sausage, B&G, fruit bowl, juice, and coffee were served. This delicious meal helps support the fire station and protect the Walker area which is only 5 miles from our group camp site.
The rest of the gang but not previously mentioned included were Robin Petrovsky (AZ), Jim & Nancy Murphy (AZ), Ray and Judy Koerzendorfer (CA). Hosts were Carla Sartwell and Mike van Leeuwen.
