DESCRIPTION:Host: Carla Sartwell 928-499-9066 (texting ok) azsidecarla@gmail.com \nCo-Host: Mike van Leeuwen 928-499-9067 (texting ok) \nLocation: Eagle Ridge Group Campground\, Osprey Site\, Walker Road\, Prescott\, AZ 86301. \nCamp Phone:  877-444-6777 Prescott National Forest \nLocation: 7 miles east of Prescott\, Arizona on Highway 69.  Turn at Arco Station\, onto Walker Road.  Continue on Walker Road for about 3 miles. Turn left at Southshore Marina and Eagle Ridge Group Camp sign.  Immediately turn left again (about 200 feet) into first group camping area. \nCampground: All paved. Covered lighted ramada with 10 tables. 6 BBQ grills\, large group fire ring\, vault toilets and 2 drinking water faucets. Limited electric to charge cell phones. Cell service marginal. No showers.  Parking spaces for motorcycles\, cars and/or a tent camp trailers. Tent trailers must park on paved spaces. 3 RV trailer parking spaces for vehicles less than 35 feet (please contact IBMC host\, Carla about limited availability). 4 group tent pads and several single tent pads.  No early arrivals. Gate opens at noon on Thursday. \nFees: Camping fees are shared by campers\, about $20 for total 3-night stay. \nRemarks:  5\,600ft elevation. Summer monsoon rains possible.  Days are 75F degrees. Nights cool to 50F.  Saturday morning breakfast at the Walker Volunteer Fire Station. Evening entertainment includes group fire ring\, old and new stories and music by the local coyotes. \nConveniences:  Costco store and gasoline\, Walmart\, Trader Joes all within 4 miles. Numerous restaurants: German food at Lynx Lake\, Wildflower Bread Company\, In and Out Burger\, many fast-food places toward Prescott and Prescott Valley on Highway 69. Hardware stores: Ace\, Lowe’s\, Home Depot and Harbor Freight all nearby. \nAttractions: Prescott’s historic Whiskey Row\, Jerome ghost town\, red rocks of Sedona\, Verde Valley Train rides\, Fort Verde historic Army fort.  Indian ruins like Tuzigoot\, Montezuma’s Castle and Well. Ride the twisty roads over Mingus Mountain to 7000ft.
